Wax Melt/Burner Safety

  • Never leave unattended.

  • Do not move burner once in use or while the wax is hot, the burner heats up quickly and will be hot to touch.

  • Always make sure the burner is sitting on a clear flat, heatproof surface away from curtains and furnishings,

  • Use one 2-4 hour unscented tealight candles, the 8 hour ones can make the wax and burner get too hot, also potentially causing a fire.

  • Please make sure your burner specifies that it is for wax, some are just for oil and the difference is that it heats the wax too fast which can affect the scent throw as it burns the fragrance off a lot quicker.

  • Keep out of reach of pets and children.

  • The wax melts do look and smell good enough to eat, but please do not consume.

  • Do not add water to the burner dish

  • Keep lit tealights away from windows/drafts, this can be a fire hazard and also you wont get as long of burn time.

  • Be careful not to over fill your burner.

  • Always remove all packaging, place one or two pieces of the snap bar into the melting dish or if using wax tarts you can use the whole thing or cut it in half to last even longer. Depending on how much wax you use, it should have approximately 12-20 hours burn time. Keep remelting the same wax melt until the scent has dissipated. If you're getting bored of the same scent, you can easily pop it out after one or two burns and keep it for another time. To remove the wax there are a few methods:

1) Once the wax is hard it might just slide out with a little push

2) Light a tealight underneath the burner dish and wait 10-15 seconds then push/spin it out with your fingers, it'll come out super easy with no mess if done correctly and the dish will be all ready for your next wax melt.

3) Pop the burner dish or the whole burner if connected into the freezer for about 15 minutes, this will shrink the wax a little, letting the wax slip right out of the dish, easily and with no mess.

4) While the wax is still melted pop a couple of cotton balls in the wax and let them soak it all up, give the burner a wipe down and you're all good to go. Be careful not to touch the wax, it's very hot. (The cotton balls soaked in the wax make great fire starters by the way!)

Please check your burner regularly for cracks. If you notice any cracks in the burner dish that could cause leakage onto the tealight candle underneath please discontinue use as this is a fire hazard. NEVER try to dig the wax out with a knife, this can cause cracks in the burner. NEVER pour wax down the sink, this can clog your pipes. Simply dispose of used wax in the bin, it's best to dispose once hardened or soaked up with the cotton balls. If for some reason wax ends up on your furniture, don't worry! Just leave it to dry and it will simply scrape away.
